Final Countdown – A Dozen More…

The first four completed blocks. In all of these, the background is pieced to circle wedges/ quadrants.

A quick photo post to share the four Round the Year blocks completed.
Clockwise, beginning from top right, these are

Block Four – Sapphire Fire

Block Two – Evening at the Pond

Block Five – Venus at Dusk

Block Thirteen – Feathered Star

You want to make your own blocks? You can find the links to the free patterns from the Round the Year page.( Link above)

Sad and Bad News – Round the Year BOM – Premature Demise ( Now Resurrected !)

Post Script : Since this post was published, I have had a lot many offers for testers. So I have decided to go ahead with the 16 blocks as originally palnned for the quilt! (March 1, 2015)

Please do not cut fabric for Chakra till I give the go ahead. There are some errors in the fabric coding.
Furthermore, with a heavy heart, I have to inform you that I have decided not to post any more blocks for the BOM after Block 12, as I have not been getting any testers.Small typos and errors can create problems for those following the BOM…I do not wish to be responsible, any longer, for the fabric wastage and more importantly, heartbreak!
I am publishing Blocks 11 and 12 so that you can get a 3×4 layout for your blocks, and can make a useful sized quilt at about 60x 80, including sashing and borders. However, Blocks 11 and 12 will be posted with the caveat “Make at Your Own Risk – Untested Pattern.”
I hope everyone will understand!

The Mariner (Almost) Remastered…Days Ten and Eleven

Still to be assembled.

You get to see the block in colour only once it is assembled!
Block Seven -Southward Bound! You get to see the block in colour only once it is assembled!

These blocks are taking me about five to seven hours to make, beginning from printing to part assembly – none of them have been attached to the background as yet.
Tomorrow I start work on Block Nine.
